Home page widget

Introduction

The Homepage Widgets feature in ApiShare allows users to customize their workspace by adding and managing widgets. These widgets provide quick access to key metrics, API and application categories, and other essential data, helping users monitor important information efficiently. Widgets can be arranged, resized, and modified to suit individual preferences.

Managing widgets

Creating a widget

Prerequisites:

• Users must have appropriate permissions to configure their homepage.

Steps:

1. Open the Menu and select the desired widget from the list.

2. If the widget is dynamic, it will appear on the screen immediately.

3. If the widget is static content, a configuration modal will appear.

4. Fill in the required fields and click Save to add the widget to the homepage.

Post-Conditions:

• The widget is successfully added to the homepage.

Editing a widget

Steps:

1. Locate the widget on the homepage and select it.

2. The configuration modal will appear with pre-filled details.

3. Modify the necessary fields.

4. Click Save to apply the changes.

Post-Conditions:

• The widget updates with the new configuration.

Deleting a widget

Steps:

1. Click the Trash Icon on the widget.

2. A confirmation modal appears.

3. Click Confirm to delete the widget.

Post-Conditions:

• The widget is removed from the homepage.

Resizing a widget

Steps:

1. Hover over the edges of the widget.

2. Click and drag to adjust the size.

3. Release to apply the new dimensions.

Post-Conditions:

• The widget size is updated.

Relocating a widget

Steps:

1. Hover over the top of the widget card.

2. Click and drag the widget to the desired location.

3. Release to drop it into place.

Post-Conditions:

• The widget is repositioned on the homepage.
